Transparency about our commitment to people, the environment, and responsible business practices

Human Rights Statement

Axxent Masters in Tea B.V. respects internationally recognised human rights and is committed to protecting these rights throughout our business operations and business relationships.

We support and adhere to:

  1. The United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights;
  2. The International Bill of Human Rights, including the rights set out in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights;
  3. The International Labour Organization (ILO) Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work.

In our decision-making and business activities, we take into account the rights and interests of our employees, customers, suppliers, business partners and other stakeholders. We strive to protect human rights by identifying risks in a timely manner and, where possible, preventing, mitigating or remedying adverse impacts.

In addition, we expect our business partners to respect internationally recognised human rights and to act in accordance with these principles.

Lobbying Policy Statement

Axxent Masters in Tea B.V. does not engage in direct lobbying activities. However, we are members of Koffie & Thee Nederland and BioNederland. These industry associations represent the interests of their members in discussions with governments, policymakers and other relevant stakeholders. Through these memberships, indirect advocacy may take place on behalf of our sector and its interests.

CO2 reduction Statement

Axxent Masters in Tea B.V. is committed to reducing its impact on the climate. As part of this commitment, we are currently measuring our CO₂ emissions (Scope 1 and Scope 2) and developing concrete, science-based emissions reduction targets.

As part of this process, we have committed to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

We are currently finalising our carbon footprint assessment and establishing our emissions reduction targets. Once these targets have been formally defined and approved by the SBTi, they will be published on our website.

We will monitor our progress and report on it periodically to provide transparency regarding the actions we are taking to reduce our CO₂ emissions. Transparency is central to our approach, and we will update this information once our CO₂ reduction targets have been established.

JEDI statement

Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (JEDI)

Also known as JEDI: Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion.

At Axxent Masters in Tea, we value the different perspectives, experiences and backgrounds that people bring. Together, these contribute to mutual understanding, new insights and well-informed decision-making.

We are committed to creating a working environment in which everyone is treated fairly, feels respected and has equal opportunities to contribute, develop and succeed. We value people for who they are, regardless of gender, age, ethnic background, nationality, religion, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other personal characteristic.

As an international tea company, we work with colleagues, customers and partners from a wide range of countries and cultures. We therefore promote an inclusive working environment where different viewpoints are valued and open dialogue is encouraged. Decisions are made with respect for diverse perspectives and consideration for the interests of all stakeholders.

We do not see justice, equity, diversity and inclusion as an end goal, but as a continuous process of listening, learning and improving. In this way, we aim to build a workplace where everyone can be themselves and achieve their full potential.
