Privacy policy

About us

Proposed text: Our site address is: http://masters-in-tea.nl.

Comments

Proposed text: When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent, to help detect spam.

An anonymised string created from your e-mail address (this is also called a hash) can be sent to the Gravatar service should you use it. The Gravatar service privacy policy can be found here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture is publicly visible within the context of your comment.

Media

Proposed text: If you are a registered user and upload images to the site, you should avoid uploading images containing EXIF GPS location data. Visitors to the site can download images from the site and view location details.

Cookies

Proposed text: When you leave a comment on our site, you can specify whether your name, email address and site may be stored in a cookie. We do this for your convenience, so you don’t have to re-enter these details when providing a new comment. These cookies are valid for one year.

When you visit our login page, we store a temporary cookie to check whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is deleted as soon as you close your browser.

Once you log in, we will store some cookies related to your login information and screen display options. Login cookies are valid for 2 days, and cookies for screen display options for 1 year. If you select “Remember me”, your login will be saved for 2 weeks. Once you log out of your account, login cookies are deleted.

When you edit or publish a post, an additional cookie is stored by your browser. This cookie contains no personal data and only stores the post ID of the article you edited. This cookie expires after one day.

Embedded content from other sites

Proposed text: Posts on this site may contain embedded content (e.g. videos, images, messages, etc.). Embedded content from other sites behaves exactly as if the visitor had visited this other site.

These sites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking and monitor your interaction with this embedded content, including recording your interaction with embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that site.

Who we share your data with

Proposed text: If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset e-mail.

How long we keep your data for

Proposed text: When you leave a comment, that comment and its metadata is saved forever. This way, we can automatically recognise and approve follow-up comments instead of having to moderate them.

For users who register on our site (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can view, edit or delete their personal information at any time (although they cannot change their username). Site administrators can also view and edit this information.

What rights you have over your data

Proposed text: If you have an account on this site, or you have left comments, you can request an export file of your personal data that we hold about you, including all the data you have given us. You can also request that we delete any personal data we hold about you. This does not include data that we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal or security purposes.

Where your data will be sent

Proposed text: Visitor responses may be monitored via an automated spam detection service.
